The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, has ceremonially inaugurated several critical infrastructural ventures in Warangal, Telangana, totaling a worth of approximately Rs 6,100 crores.

The projects encompass a Railway Manufacturing Unit in Kazipet with an expected cost of over Rs 500 crores and 176 km of National Highway Projects valued above Rs 5,550 crores. While in the area, the Prime Minister also participated in a ritual at Bhadrakali Temple.

Modi expressed his confidence in the potential of Telangana and its citizens. Despite being a comparatively young state, it has greatly contributed to India’s journey to become the world’s 5th largest economy.

The Prime Minister underlined the importance of a rapidly progressing India and the need for infrastructure enhancements, citing that India’s accelerated growth cannot occur with outdated infrastructure. He underscored that high logistic costs and poor connectivity obstruct business expansion.

Narendra Modi made mention of the considerable upscaling in the speed and scale of infrastructural development by the government, referencing the enhancement of highways, expressways, and corridors. With Telangana’s highway network doubling from 2,500 km to 5,000 km, the Prime Minister emphasized that the state is evolving into a hub of economic activity, connecting surrounding economic centers.

The Prime Minister stated that the improvements in Telangana’s infrastructure are directly benefiting the state’s industry and tourism sectors. He emphasized the Make in India campaign and the PLI scheme, pointing out the growing manufacturing sector as a major source of youth employment. Modi concluded his address by reiterating the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ urging the progress of Telangana.
