Wipro to add more than 500 technology jobs in Brazil

Wipro said that it will be recruiting over 500 new people in Brazil in technology jobs over the next fiscal year to support the company in providing cloud solutions to clients.

The Indian IT services provider will be hiring particularly in the Northeast region, primarily in Recife, Fortaleza, and in Natal – Curitiba, Brasília, and cities in the countryside of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo states, among other locations.

The jobs will be for a variety of roles ranging from IT and engineering to consulting, business development and operations, said Wipro.

In 2021, Wipro revealed plans to put in $1 billion over the next three years in cloud technologies. The Indian IT giant had also created Wipro FullStride Cloud Services to bring together its full portfolio of cloud-related capabilities, offerings, and talent to better arrange the cloud journey for clients.

For supporting the investments and its growth goals, Wipro plans to train and certify more than 800 professionals in cloud solutions in the coming 12 months in Brazil.
