TVS Motor, Jio-bp plan to create public EV charging infrastructure

TVS Motor Company and Jio-bp have agreed to explore the creation of a public electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure for electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers in India.

Under the proposed partnership, the customers of TVS Motor’s electric vehicles are likely to get access to Jio-bp’s charging network, which is also open to other vehicles.

The partnership will utilize the strength of the two firms with an aim to establish a regular AC charging network as well as a DC fast-charging network.

Apart from developing solutions for a smooth customer journey on the apps of TVS Motor and Jio-bp, the two firms will bring their global learnings in electrification and apply them to the Indian market to build a differentiated customer experience for the consumer.

Jio-bp operates its EV charging and swapping stations under the Jio-bp pulse brand. Using the Jio-bp pulse app, customers can find stations nearby with ease and charge their electric vehicles.
