TVS Motor, Zomato forge partnership to boost green mobility solutions

TVS Motor Company, an Indian manufacturer of two-wheelers and three-wheelers, has today announced its strategic partnership with the food ordering and delivery platform, Zomato.

This association supports TVS Motor’s commitment to green and sustainable mobility solutions, furthering the company’s electrification journey across various mobility segments. It also aligns with Zomato’s goal of promoting the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) through its delivery partners.

The collaboration seeks to reshape urban transportation by combining TVS Motor’s superior electric scooter technology with Zomato’s vast network of delivery partners.

As part of the partnership, TVS Motor plans to deploy over 10,000 TVS electric scooters within two years. The scooters, powered by advanced electric powertrain and superior battery technology, will contribute to revolutionizing last-mile delivery, allowing Zomato to further reduce its carbon footprint.

Rinshul Chandra — Zomato Chief Operations Officer said: “At Zomato, we are committed to 100% EV adoption by 2030, and are the first food ordering and delivery platform to join Climate Group’s EV100 campaign. We are now partnering with over 50 companies in the EV ecosystem with the intent of onboarding over 100,000 EV-based delivery partners on our platform within the next 2 years.

TVS Motor also intends to ensure that Zomato’s delivery partners have access to charging stations within their radius and a seamless digital integration for smooth delivery operations.
