Tata Motors Limited has announced its sales figures in the domestic and international markets for November 2023, reporting a total of 74,172 vehicles. This figure reflects a slight decrease compared to the 75,478 units sold in November 2022.
Breakdown of Sales Performance
The company’s total domestic sales stood at 72,647 units in November 2023, marking a -1% change year-over-year (Y-o-Y). In the commercial vehicle (CV) segment, Tata Motors sold 28,029 units, experiencing a -4% Y-o-Y change. This includes:
- Heavy Commercial Vehicle (HCV) Trucks with 8,253 units (+1%)
- Intermediate & Light Medium Commercial Vehicle (ILMCV) Trucks with 4,385 units (+6%)
- Passenger Carriers with 2,130 units (+4%)
- Small Commercial Vehicle (SCV) cargo and pickup with 11,811 units (-9%)
The domestic sale of Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicles (MH&ICV), including trucks and buses, reached 12,303 units, slightly up from November 2022’s 11,896 units.
Passenger Vehicles Show Steady Performance
In the passenger vehicle (PV) sector, Tata Motors registered 46,143 units sold in November 2023, with a minor -1% Y-o-Y change. The domestic sale of PVs, including electric vehicles (EVs), was 46,068 units, showing a marginal growth of 0%. However, the PV international business (IB) witnessed a significant decrease of -81%. The electric vehicle segment, combining domestic and international sales, saw a positive growth of 7%, with 4,761 units sold.
