The company’s total domestic sales stood at 72,647 units in November 2023, marking a -1% change year-over-year (Y-o-Y). In the commercial vehicle (CV) segment, Tata Motors sold 28,029 units, experiencing a -4% Y-o-Y change. This includes:

  • Heavy Commercial Vehicle (HCV) Trucks with 8,253 units (+1%)
  • Intermediate & Light Medium Commercial Vehicle (ILMCV) Trucks with 4,385 units (+6%)
  • Passenger Carriers with 2,130 units (+4%)
  • Small Commercial Vehicle (SCV) cargo and pickup with 11,811 units (-9%)

Passenger Vehicles Show Steady Performance

In the passenger vehicle (PV) sector, Tata Motors registered 46,143 units sold in November 2023, with a minor -1% Y-o-Y change. The domestic sale of PVs, including electric vehicles (EVs), was 46,068 units, showing a marginal growth of 0%. However, the PV international business (IB) witnessed a significant decrease of -81%. The electric vehicle segment, combining domestic and international sales, saw a positive growth of 7%, with 4,761 units sold.
