Tata Motors unveils pioneering hydrogen R&D facilities in push for green mobility

In a significant move in the automobile sector, Tata Motors, the apex automobile enterprise in India, launched two cutting-edge R&D centers focused on sustainable mobility solutions. This initiative comprises an engine test cell for the Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engine (H2ICE) and the critical infrastructure for Hydrogen fuel storage and dispensing, catering to both Fuel Cell and H2ICE vehicles.

Earlier this year, Tata Motors showcased its extensive range of commercial vehicle concepts at the 2023 Auto Expo. Notably, it included the flagship Prima tractor with both H2ICE and Fuel Cell Technology versions and the next-gen Hydrogen Fuel Cell bus. Demonstrating its pioneering stance in zero-emission tech, Tata Motors, on September 25, 2023, delivered two state-of-the-art Hydrogen Fuel Cell-powered buses to the Indian Oil Corporation.
