Jio Platforms introduces prepaid plans bundled with Netflix subscription
Jio Platforms Limited, a flagship subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited, unveiled its latest Jio prepaid plans offering bundled Netflix subscriptions. This landmark announcement extends the Netflix offering, previously available exclusively for select Jio Postpaid and Jio Fiber users, to Jio’s extensive base of over 400 million prepaid customers for the very first time.
Highlighting the significance of this collaboration, Kiran Thomas, CEO of Jio Platforms Limited, stated, “Our unwavering commitment is to deliver premium services to our consumers. Netflix India’s commitment to regional diversity is evident in their wide spectrum of shows and movies, encompassing diverse genres and pioneering formats. The platform boasts of renowned local masterpieces such as ‘Kohrra’, ‘Darlings’, and ‘Monica O My Darling’. Coupled with international sensations like ‘Squid Game’ and ‘Money Heist’, the service caters to a global palate. Furthermore, Netflix has recently spotlighted an array of Tamil and Telugu films, including ‘Beast’ and ‘Major’, enhancing its regional portfolio.
The game-changing Jio-Netflix prepaid packages are the ₹1099 plan which comes with an 84-day validity with Netflix (Mobile), Unlimited 5G data via Jio Welcome Offer, 2 GB/day data, and Unlimited Voice.
The second is a ₹1499 Plan, which comes with an 84-day validity featuring Netflix (Basic) for large screens, Unlimited 5G data under the Jio Welcome Offer, 3 GB/day data, and Unlimited Voice.
This partnership between Jio and Netflix marks an industry-first, ushering in a new era where Netflix’s expansive entertainment library is accessible through a bundled telco prepaid plan.
