Infosys roped in by Orion to transform ERP and planning platforms

Infosys has been roped in by Orion Corporation, a Finnish pharma company, to transform its enterprise resource planning (ERP) and planning platforms, boost employee experience, and power business value realization.

The Indian IT services provider said that it will adopt standardized best SAP practices to facilitate end-to-end visibility across Orion’s operations, informed decision making, and cut down costs of business operations with the help of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and robotic process automation (RPA).

Timo Lappalainen — President and CEO of Orion said: “At Orion we are pleased to partner with Infosys to develop our operations by transforming our processes and core platforms like ERP. In selecting our partner, we valued Infosys’ strong track record implementing Life Sciences best practices, focus on business value realization and proven delivery capability.

“We look forward to co-operating with Infosys and leveraging the results of our partnership to support the well-being of our customers.”

Infosys will help Orion on the transformation process by following a hybrid agile approach that utilizes Infosys CaPSule to maximize the business engagement of the latter and enable it to deliver early business buy-in.

Additionally, the Indian IT company will tap its Value Realization Method (VRM) to achieve the key value objectives of Orion, while using the data anonymizing suite to facilitate the availability of information in real-time and high data integrity.

Mohit Joshi — President of Infosys said: “The agility afforded by a modern ERP system combined with streamlined business processes and informed decision making will significantly help an organization compete in today’s business environment.

“On that note, we bring in an innovative hybrid agile approach to not just holistically transform Orion’s ERP and planning platforms, but to focus on the “build” or “realization” phases of the project lifecycle. This engagement reflects the strong core functional and technical capabilities of our Enterprise Application Services SAP unit to drive exceptional operational excellence, employee experience, and tangible business value.”

Recently, Infosys entered into a partnership with Packable, a US-based e-commerce company, to help the latter amplify its D2C e-commerce offerings for its brand partners.
