Infosys enriches ATP Tour matches with new match stats and analysis tools
Infosys in partnership with the ATP Tour has introduced a suite of match stats and analysis tools to give a closer picture of the action of men’s professional tennis to fans, coaches, and media.
The Indian IT services provider said that tennis fans will now be able to boost their experience of ATP Tour matches by getting statistical insights from across 60 plus ATP Tour events per season.
The experience will be delivered through an immersive and intuitive interface on the ATP Tour official website.
Infosys as the digital innovation partner of the ATP Tour, will enable viewers to understand the pulse of the match with the help of real-time data and insights. This will give them a richer story of the action on court, while revealing game-changing moments.
The new features launched by Infosys and ATP Tour have been enabled using the Infosys Tennis Platform which utilizes big data analytics and natural language generation (NLG) to generate match insights in 3D.
Infosys Tennis Platform is deployed as a serverless platform on public cloud and developed focusing on the key architectural principles of micro-frontends, micro-services, automation, observability, and scalability.
The new features being offered are MatchBeats, Rally Analysis, 3D CourtVision, Stroke Summary, and Stats.
Daniele Sano — ATP Tour Chief Business Officer said: “As an organisation we are constantly looking for new ways to make the experience of our sport more compelling. Tennis is incredibly data-rich, and Infosys has both technological expertise and passion for tennis to bring it to life in an intuitive way.
“We are excited for fans to interact with these new features and look forward to future digital innovation together with Infosys.”
In the past six years, Infosys had been offering innovative solutions such as the ATP Stats Leaderboards and ATP Second Screen for live insights apart from digitally driven solutions such as the newly rolled out ATP tour fan app and Player Zone.
Sumit Virmani — Chief Marketing Officer of Infosys said: “The revamped stats center is another significant landmark as we navigate into the 7th year of our successful journey with the ATP. The application of digital technologies is now becoming increasingly important in sports and business.
“As strategic partners in the digital roadmap and vision for the ATP, we are delighted to jointly bring innovative experiences to the world of tennis to further amplify the experience of fans, coaches, and other stakeholders of the game across the globe.”
Earlier this year, Infosys had introduced artificial intelligence (AI), immersive 3D, and digital platforms for transforming the action from the French Open or the Roland-Garros.
