Hero MotoCorp unveils VIDA Advantage package for hassle-free EV ownership
Hero MotoCorp, recognized as the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, has made a significant leap towards enhancing electric vehicle (EV) ownership with the introduction of the VIDA Advantage package for its VIDA V1 Pro electric scooter. This pioneering initiative by VIDA, Powered by Hero, the emerging mobility brand of Hero MotoCorp, is designed to make EV ownership more appealing and worry-free for customers.
The VIDA Advantage package stands out as a category-first proposition, delivering an array of benefits and services worth Rs. 27,000, valid for a 5-year period. Remarkably, this after-sales package is being offered to customers at no additional cost until April 31, 2024. This move is indicative of Hero MotoCorp’s commitment to facilitating a smoother transition to electric mobility by addressing potential concerns surrounding EV ownership.
Dr. Swadesh Srivastava, Chief Business Officer – Emerging Mobility Business Unit (EMBU) at Hero MotoCorp, articulated the company’s vision behind launching VIDA Advantage. “Transitioning to electric mobility is about embracing a new lifestyle, not just purchasing a vehicle,” he stated. The VIDA Advantage is conceived to redefine electric vehicle ownership and establish new standards of customer-centricity in the industry. It encompasses a comprehensive after-sales proposition, including value-added benefits designed to ensure customer peace of mind in all aspects of EV ownership, from maintenance to charging.
Key features of the VIDA Advantage package include a 5-year/60,000 km warranty on both batteries, free access to over 2,000 charging points via the VIDA Fast Charging Network, hassle-free maintenance with free service at all VIDA workshops, reliable 24×7 roadside assistance, and exclusive safety and convenience features available through the “My VIDA” app.
The VIDA V1 electric scooter range, which includes the VIDA V1 Plus and VIDA V1 Pro, is priced between Rs. 97,800 and Rs. 1,26,200 (effective price in Delhi). The V1 Pro model is lauded for its top-notch performance, boasting a 0-40 km/h acceleration in 3.2 seconds, a real-world range of 110 km, and a top speed of 80 km/h. Additionally, it features industry-leading functionalities like Custom Mode, Cruise Control, Boost Mode, Two-way throttle, Key-less access, and an Over-the-air enabled 7” TFT Touch-Screen, solidifying its position as a frontrunner in the electric scooter market.
