Databricks invests in Snowplow for enhanced CX through AI-ready data

Snowplow, a provider of artificial intelligence (AI) ready customer behavioral data, announced that it has received investment from Databricks Ventures, the strategic investment wing of Databricks, a data and AI company.

The investment aims to expand the ongoing partnership between the two companies, enabling organizations to deliver next-generation customer experiences powered by trustworthy, first-party customer data.

Currently, over 1.9 million sites and applications utilize Snowplow to generate and model first-party customer data across their digital platforms. This process captures detailed customer journeys, crafting actionable first-party behavioral profiles. marketers, data teams, and customer data platforms (CDPs) can activate Snowplow data across Customer 360, Personalization, and Machine Learning use cases.

The funding will catalyze joint go-to-market initiatives, focusing on technical integrations and solutions to accelerate the delivery of AI. These are fueled by Snowplow’s first-party customer data. At the upcoming Databricks Data AI Summit 2023, Snowplow’s Chief Product Officer, Yali Sassoon, will unveil the latest joint solution, Next Best Action Personalization.

This new feature empowers Databricks customers to leverage multiple benefits within the Lakehouse Platform. Such benefits include real-time personalized product recommendations, prediction of customer churn, and personalized customer experiences across multiple touchpoints.

Additionally, Snowplow will join Databricks Partner Connect later this summer. This membership will simplify access for Databricks customers to Snowplow’s fully compliant AI-ready behavioral data and real-time event streaming, all directly accessible from the Databricks platform.
