Bharat Electronics, DRDO’s ADA to partner on Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft program

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) under Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), for the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) program.

The Indian government-owned aerospace and defence electronics company signed the MoU on the sidelines of the Bandhan event at Aero India 2023 in Bengaluru.

The multi-role, all-weather Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft is a fifth generation aircraft for combat that is designed with the capability of high survival and stealth.

The MoU is aimed at leveraging the abilities and strengths that are shared by Bharat Electronics and Aeronautical Development Agency. Both partners will collaborate on the development, design, qualification, production, and delivery of Internal Weapon Bay Computer and other line replaceable units for Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft and will offer long-term product assistance to the Indian Air Force.
