Insurance brokerage giant Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has acquired Garner & Glover Company based in Rome, Georgia, for an undisclosed price.

Garner & Glover is an independent agency that provides a range of business and personal property/casualty, and life and benefits products. The company, which has been operating since 1874, also offers athletics, wellness and risk management services to its clients across the US.

Matt Sirmans, Chuck Shaw, and their team of associates will continue to operate from their existing location under the leadership of Peter Doyle, head of Arthur J. Gallagher’s Southeast region retail property/casualty brokerage operations, and John Tournet, head of the insurance brokerage’s Southeast region employee benefits consulting and brokerage operations.
