Western Australia-based Mavco Insurance acquired by Arthur J. Gallagher

Global insurance brokerage Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has acquired Mavco Insurance Group, an Australian general insurance broker and risk management firm, for an undisclosed price.

Headquartered in Perth, Western Australia, Mavco Insurance Group caters to corporate customers across Australia and abroad.

The areas in which Mavco Insurance Group has expertise are construction, engineering, health, financial services, and mining.

According to Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., Jonathan Winter, Stephen Hughes, Daniel Waters, Rodney Aylmore, and their colleagues at Mavco Insurance Group will relocate to the global insurance brokerage’s offices in Perth and Adelaide. They will operate under the leadership of Sarah Lyons, who heads Gallagher’s retail property/casualty brokerage operations in Australia.
