Benchmark Commercial Insurance Services joins Arthur J. Gallagher’s portfolio

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., a global insurance brokerage, risk management, and consulting services firm, has announced the acquisition of Benchmark Commercial Insurance Services, a Carlsbad, California-based retail insurance agency.

Details of the transaction were not released.

Benchmark Commercial Insurance Services has been providing commercial and personal risk management and insurance solutions to business owners in San Diego and surrounding areas for the past quarter-century. Robert Cohen and his team will stay in their current location, operating under the leadership of Scott Firestone, who heads Gallagher’s Southwest region retail property/casualty brokerage operations.

This acquisition underlines Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.’s commitment to expanding its global insurance brokerage services and fortifying its presence in California. The move allows the firm to further cater to the needs of commercial clients in the San Diego region.
