HDFC ERGO General Insurance, an Indian insurance company, has partnered with Google Cloud to develop a technology platform that will allow its customers to buy insurance online.

The technology platform is expected to allow the general insurance company to roll out innovative product offerings, offer personalized insurance products and provide digitally enabled customer experiences.

It will also allow HDFC ERGO to create more agile systems, assess insurance risk by leveraging data, and rapidly respond to regulatory changes.

The partnership will enable the insurer to leverage Google Cloud’s technologies to build new applications and predictive insights from data.

By bringing data into BigQuery, HDFC ERGO is expected to evolve its data strategy. The Indian insurance company will also be able to rejig its existing reporting by tapping the artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) technologies of Google Cloud to build predictive insights.
