Wipro names new Japan country head and MD in Dhruv Anand

Indian IT services provider Wipro has appointed Dhruv Anand as the company’s new country head and managing director for its Japanese operations.

According to Wipro, Dhruv Anand will spearhead its business growth in Japan. Besides, he will partner with clients in order to help them in achieving their growth objectives by making use of Wipro’s capabilities spanning the go-to-market themes of experience, data, engineering edge, analytics and insights, cybersecurity, fullstride cloud services, core business transformation, and managed services.

Dhruv Anand has more than two decades of experience in the IT industry. He is said to specialize in digital engineering, consulting, Internet of Things (IoT), and emerging technologies across the automotive, hi-tech, and manufacturing sectors in Japan.

Dhruv Anand has a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from Pune Institute of Computer Technology and an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies in India.

Dhruv Anand said: “I am humbled with the opportunity to lead Wipro in a country I am very passionate about and have spent 20 years living in. Wipro’s vision is synergistic, and I look forward to the journey while striving to be more relevant to our customers and our employees.”

Recently, Wipro appointed Wagner Jesus as country head and managing director for its Brazilian operations.
