Valor Healthcare wins remote patient monitoring contract from Veterans Affairs

Valor Healthcare has announced its inclusion as one of the four companies chosen by the US Veterans Affairs (VA) to participate in an eight-year, $1.03 billion contract for remote patient monitoring (RPM) and home telehealth (HT) services.

The Veterans Affairs’ Office of Connected Care will utilize these systems and tools to monitor the chronic health conditions of veterans in the comfort of their own homes. This contract represents the largest Remote Patient Monitoring effort within the federal government.

The Veterans Affairs’ award notice specifies that the work will support a minimum of 72,000 veterans with various healthcare needs, including chronic care, acute care, health promotion, disease prevention, and non-institutional care. The selected companies will also be responsible for providing prosthetic appliances to assist in care coordination and chronic disease management.
