West Physics Consulting acquires Tricord’s medical physics service
West Physics Consulting, LLC, a prominent national provider of integrated medical and health physics services, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, has successfully acquired the medical physics service division of Tricord, Inc. The deal, which was finalized today, signifies a strategic expansion for West Physics, enhancing its presence and service offerings in western Kentucky, southern Missouri, southern Illinois, and Tennessee. This acquisition marks a significant milestone in the growth trajectory of West Physics, establishing it as the largest diagnostic medical physics practice in the United States.
The acquisition enables West Physics to substantially broaden its client base and bolster its diagnostic physics testing services. With over 130 professionals now serving more than 5,400 customer locations across all 50 U.S. states, as well as various federal territories, the Caribbean, and the Middle East, West Physics is poised to provide top-notch, cost-effective medical and health physics services to a wider audience.
Dr. Geoffrey West, President & Chief Medical Physicist of West Physics, expressed his enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, “This acquisition will enable us to expand our client base and enhance our diagnostic physics testing services for customers in western Kentucky, southern Missouri, southern Illinois, and Tennessee.” He also highlighted the collaborative transition phase with Steve Meiners, who will continue on a part-time consulting basis to ensure a smooth transition for medical clients.
