Novo Nordisk’s $1.4bn Orbis deal pushes obesity drug race deeper into oral medicines
Novo Nordisk has signed a discovery and licensing agreement worth up to $1.4 billion with Orbis Medicines to develop orally available macrocycle therapies for cardiometabolic disease, extending the Wegovy maker’s strategy beyond injectable GLP-1 drugs and its existing oral semaglutide technology.
