GridWrap has secured selection for a $5.9 million California Energy Commission research and demonstration project to test technology designed to increase the capacity of existing power lines while reducing conductor sag and exposure to extreme weather. The project targets grid constraints affecting AI data centres and other electricity-intensive customers, with independent validation central to potential utility adoption.
