Shakti Pumps bags major order for solar pump systems in Maharashtra

Shakti Pumps (India) Limited, a prominent manufacturer of energy-efficient pumps, has achieved another milestone by securing a Letter of Empanelment for 25,000 solar pump systems from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL). This ₹754.30-crore deal, inclusive of GST, is part of the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Scheme, designed to promote sustainable agricultural solutions in Maharashtra.

Under this empanelment, Shakti Pumps will deliver standalone off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems. The order, to be executed in phases over the next year, highlights the company’s leadership in the solar energy space. Each order will be fulfilled within a strict 60-day timeline from issuance.

Chairman Dinesh Patidar welcomed this development, noting it builds on a previous empanelment for 50,000 solar pump systems in Maharashtra. He said this achievement reflects Shakti Pumps’ ongoing commitment to empowering farmers and providing sustainable agricultural solutions.
