RailTel Corporation wins Rs 210cr contract from Ircon International

RailTel Corporation of India, a subsidiary of the Indian Railways, has bagged a contract worth INR 210.77 crores from Ircon International Limited pertaining to a tunnel communication system.

The work order is for the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the tunnel communication system, which consists of emergency call and service telephone, tunnel radio, CCTV, and PA system in tunnel environment on Dharam – Banihal section of Jammu Kashmir Rail Link Project under Ferozepur division of Northern Railway.

The entire work is to be wrapped up in a period of 12 months, said RailTel Corporation of India.

Ircon International, which is owned by the Indian government, is an integrated engineering and construction company. Recently, Ircon International had won an INR 11.74 crores from the Airports Authority of India related to the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (Guwahati International Airport).
