Marathon Health expands with Cerner Workforce Health Solutions acquisition

Marathon Health, an American provider of direct primary care for employers, has announced the acquisition of Cerner Workforce Health Solutions (WHS). The terms of the deal have not been disclosed. This strategic acquisition will extend Marathon Health’s unique population health model, adding approximately 300 ambassadors, 21 clients, 35 health centers, and 300,000 members to the organization.

This expansion will strengthen Marathon Health’s footprint in 15 states, with significant growth in key locations such as Chicago, Illinois, Kansas City, Kansas State, and St. Louis, Missouri. Through the acquisition, Marathon Health intends to leverage Cerner Workforce Health Solutions’ innovative capabilities in areas like Occupational Health and Onsite Pharmacy, as part of its ongoing mission to enhance its service offerings.
