Larsen & Toubro (L&T), a leading technology, engineering, construction, manufacturing, and financial services conglomerate, has made a significant stride in its global expansion with its Building & Factories (B&F) Business securing substantial orders ranging from Rs 1,000 crores to Rs 2,500 crores in India and Oman.
Major Residential Project in Navi Mumbai
In India, the Residential Business of B&F has obtained a significant repeat order from the Government Planning & Development Authority, Maharashtra. This project involves the construction of Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Housing, encompassing 14 towers and related infrastructure works in Navi Mumbai. The project’s scope includes the design and construction of civil structures, finishes, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) services, and related external development works. The ambitious project is set to be executed within a 42-month period.
Mixed-Use Development in Muscat
Expanding its international footprint, L&T, through its Oman entity, has been awarded a contract for a mixed-use development project in Muscat by a reputed private client. This contract entails the construction of a 3-star hotel with 80-key hotel rooms, 101 serviced apartments, and a 23-key residential apartment & office block. The project also includes a common basement, associated service buildings, external works, services, and comprehensive hard and soft landscaping.
