Kaka Industries commissions advanced Gujarat manufacturing facility

Kaka Industries Limited, a prominent name in the polymer industry, has announced the complete commissioning of its cutting-edge manufacturing facility in Lasundra, Gujarat. The milestone, achieved on 2nd January 2025, marks the resolution of prolonged power supply issues, enabling the plant to operate at its full capacity of 40,000 metric tons per annum (MTPA). This is a significant leap from its previous operational output of 18,000 MTPA, positioning the company for robust growth in the coming years.

Located on an expansive 8,00,000 square feet of land, with 4,00,000 square feet under active construction, the facility is set to strengthen Kaka Industries Limited’s position as a leader in PVC-based products. The dedicated power supply from Madhya Gujarat Vij Company Limited (MGVCL) has been a game-changer, ensuring uninterrupted operations and paving the way for enhanced productivity and efficiency.

Power Supply Challenges Overcome

Over the past six months, inconsistent power supply posed significant hurdles for the plant. However, with the establishment of new power line infrastructure, Kaka Industries Limited can now leverage the full potential of its state-of-the-art equipment. The company has also relocated machinery from older units to the new facility, consolidating operations for greater economies of scale.

CA Chintan Bodar, Chief Financial Officer at Kaka Industries Limited, expressed optimism about the facility’s impact on the company’s financial trajectory. He noted that the enhanced capacity would enable the company to double its turnover by the end of FY 2027, with potential for 120% capacity utilisation in two to three years.
