HFCL bags Rs 141cr order from BSNL for advanced 4G and 5G solutions

HFCL Limited, a leading technology enterprise and integrated next-generation communications product and solution provider, has announced securing a substantial purchase order worth INR 141 crore from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL). This order, part of a larger INR 179 crore advance purchase order, reinforces HFCL’s leadership in providing indigenous 4G and 5G backhauling solutions. The remaining order of approximately INR 38 crore is anticipated upon the completion of the current supply.

This strategic collaboration between HFCL and BSNL aims to enhance the latter’s network infrastructure, crucial for supporting burgeoning 4G and 5G requirements. HFCL’s scope of work includes planning, on-site surveys, installation, testing, commissioning, and annual maintenance of microwave links, powered by cutting-edge 5GHz Unlicensed Band Packet radio systems. These radios, boasting HFCL’s indigenous design and manufacturing, highlight a significant stride towards India’s self-reliance in the telecom sector.

The deployment of these end-to-end solutions is set to offer BSNL a robust foundation for a 5G-ready infrastructure, characterized by easy installation, high reliability, advanced security, and cost efficiency. By utilizing HFCL’s Unlicensed Band Radios (UBR), BSNL will benefit from advanced MIMO and OFDM technologies, facilitating high-speed, high-bandwidth, low-latency, and reliable wireless communications essential for future networks.

HFCL’s technological advancements, particularly its AI-powered Unified Cloud Network Management System (UcNMS), further exemplify its commitment to innovation. This system enables seamless network and application control, allowing for effective integration and adaptability to customer needs. With more than 3.5 lakh units supplied globally, HFCL’s prowess in backhauling equipment manufacturing is undisputed, marking it as a pioneer in “Made in India” 4G and 5G solutions.
