HCL Technologies unveils plans to generate 12k new jobs in US

Indian IT services provider HCL Technologies unveiled plans to generate 12,000 new jobs over the next five years in the US.

HCL Technologies anticipates hiring over 2,000 graduates during the next 36 months as part of Rise at HCL — the company’s early career and training program in the US. The company said that this is part of its global New Vistas program, which involves setting up innovation and delivery centers in emerging cities across the globe.

“With ‘Rise at HCL,’ we offer a program that is focused on intensive training, from on-the-job learning to soft skills development. We are excited to work with recent and soon-to-be graduates to drive their advancement in the exciting tech space.”

Recently, the company had embarked on its HCL Apprenticeship Program, which provides full-time tech roles as well as fully-funded higher education for high school graduates in the US.

HCL Technologies said that its hiring efforts in the US will be focused on North Carolina, California, Texas, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Minnesota, and its recently launched global delivery center in Hartford, Connecticut.

The company said that qualified people will work across roles in IT consulting and technology. These include agile application development, IT infrastructure services, cloud, data analytics, Internet of Things (IoT), and digital engineering.
