VettaFi acquires thematic index solutions provider EQM Indexes
VettaFi, a leader in indexing, data & analytics, and digital distribution in asset management, has announced its acquisition of EQM Indexes, a prominent provider of custom thematic index solutions. The acquisition expands VettaFi’s family of indexes, now powering nearly $19 billion in ETFs and other investment vehicles, including direct indexing where EQM has a strong track record.
VettaFi CEO Expresses Enthusiasm Over the Deal
“This is an exciting day for VettaFi, as we add one of the most creative and forward-thinking groups in the business to our all-star team of indexing professionals,” remarked Leland Clemons, CEO of VettaFi. The acquisition follows VettaFi’s previous purchase of the ROBO Global Index suite earlier this year, making EQM Indexes the second significant indexing firm to join VettaFi in 2021.
