Greenleaf Foods expands frozen portfolio with Field Roast Plant-Based Nuggets
Greenleaf Foods has expanded its frozen portfolio of plant-based appetizers and entrees by introducing the Plant-Based Nuggets product under its Field Roast Grain Meat brand in the US.
The newly launched frozen entree product is said to contain crispy, bite-size nuggets that feature bold, inspiring taste, while joining Greenleaf Foods’ other offerings like Fruffalo wings and Miniature Corn Dogs.
Dan Curtin – president of Greenleaf Foods said: “Remember the joy that a chicken nugget could bring you as a kid? We’re bringing that back with an absolutely delicious plant-based nugget that’s easy to prepare, flavorful on its own, yet still stands up to dips and sauces. And they’re not just for kids—adults are going to crave these, too.”
According to Greenleaf Foods, Field Roast Plant-Based Nuggets are full of flavor and breaded to perfection with a taste and texture that can be on par with traditional chicken nuggets.
The new product packs frozen, par-fried plant-based nuggets made from whole food ingredients such as roasted garlic, wheat, and pea protein. Each pack is said to have 14 grams of protein per serving, which is free from GMOs, soy, artificial ingredients, and colors.
Field Roast Plant-Based Nuggets are available currently in the frozen sections of participating Albertson’s, Sobey’s, and Price Chopper stores and will be available at more retailers this summer. The frozen entree product will be available in foodservice locations as well.
