The deal between HPE and Astellas Pharma Inc. leverages HPE’s Asset Upcycling Services to collect and process end-of-use network equipment, aiding Astellas’ network standardization project. The first collection of networking assets in Canada marks the inception of this venture, with plans to extend the service to Astellas’ headquarters in Japan, targeting the decommissioning and secure refurbishment of hundreds of technology assets annually.

Furthermore, Astellas has integrated HPE Aruba Networking solutions to enhance its backbone network infrastructure. This move is pivotal for supporting the company’s expansive operations, which span research, development, and manufacturing of innovative medicines. HPE Aruba Networking Central will provide Astellas with advanced capabilities, including AI-powered analytics, automation, and enhanced security features, facilitating centralized management and improved IT productivity.
