Adani to buy stake in agri platform solution provider General Aeronautics

Adani Enterprises said that its fully-owned subsidiary Adani Defence Systems and Technologies has agreed to acquire a 50% stake in General Aeronautics Private Limited, an end-to-end agri platform solution provider based in Bengaluru.

The Adani Group company didn’t reveal the amount of the all-cash deal, which is expected to close by the end of next month.

Founded in 2016, General Aeronautics Private Limited leverages artificial intelligence (AI) and analytics to serve the agricultural sector with robotic drones and drone-based solutions.

Its solutions are used for crop protection services, precision-farming and yield monitoring, and crop health.

Adani Defence Systems and Technologies is expected to make use of its military drone and AI/machine learning capabilities and work with General Aeronautics Private Limited for offering end to end solutions for the domestic agricultural sector.
