Wipro gets AWS Mainframe Migration Competency status

Wipro said that it has secured Amazon Web Services (AWS) Mainframe Migration Competency status, which recognizes that the company has proven solutions, practices, and customer success in migrating mainframe applications as well as data to AWS.

Owing to the complexity of a mainframe migration, AWS customers look for proven methodologies, tools, and best practices for driving successful migrations, said Wipro.

According to the Indian IT services provider, the AWS Partner Network (APN) has an important role in these efforts by giving access to mature technology products and services for the mainframe migrations of customers from AWS Partners with proven solutions and expertise.

AWS is said to have introduced the AWS Mainframe Migration Competency for aiding customers in confidently identifying and engaging AWS Partners who have specialization in mainframe migration.

Wipro claims that the AWS Partners are scrutinized, validated, and verified against a high bar to reach the AWS Mainframe Migration Competency.

The company said that securing the AWS Mainframe Migration Competency status differentiates it as an AWS Partner with a track record of success and deep domain expertise in the migration of mainframe workloads.
