This collaboration will facilitate the design, build, and operation of a platform enabling seamless switching for residential fixed broadband and voice services across all UK retail communications service providers.
The newly announced platform, set to employ state-of-the-art cloud-native architecture, promises to offer unmatched security, robustness, and scalability. By simplifying the process of switching telecom service providers, the initiative aims to empower consumers to effortlessly select services that best match their price and quality requirements. This move aligns with Ofcom’s directive for a gainer-led, one-touch switching process, enhancing the competitive landscape of the telecom sector.
Vikram Nair, President – EMEA Business at Tech Mahindra, emphasized the significance of this partnership, highlighting the company’s commitment to leveraging its vast telecom expertise and cutting-edge IT technologies. The collaboration will see the creation of the TOTSCo Hub, a messaging platform designed to streamline the process of switching communication providers for customers.
The TOTSCo Hub will integrate Comviva’s BlueMarble Business Support System (BSS) and WSO2’s API Management and Integration software, ensuring a smooth and efficient management system for communication provider (CP) operations. This collaborative effort aims to deliver a solution that not only meets the current needs of the UK telecom industry but also sets a new standard for customer service and operational efficiency.
