TCS to help Ericsson in digital transformation of R&D environment

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) said that it will partner Ericsson in helping the Swedish telecommunications company build and operate its cloud-based research and digital (R&D) digital workplace.

The Indian IT services company will help Ericsson execute its R&D environment transformation initiative for enabling secured access and automated availability of the development environment irrespective of the time and place for the latter’s R&D teams across the world.

For this, TCS will make use of its contextual knowledge of Ericsson’s R&D and IT environments along with its specialization in automation and cloud technologies for supporting the globally distributed teams with on-demand, zero-touch, and remote provisioning.

The Indian IT services provider also announced the launch of a round-the-clock command center at Hyderabad, Telangana, which will be powered by the TCS’ Business 4.0 thought leadership framework and its Machine First Delivery Model (MFDM) based automation.

The command center in Hyderabad will help expedite the R&D and product development environment of Ericsson. The autonomous provisioning, configuration and plans for self-healing of the development environment are said to be in line with the telecom company’s goal to give its engineers a world-class R&D environment.

Recently, TCS announced that Societe Generale Securities Services (SGSS), a French investment services company, has deployed its TCS BaNCS core banking software suite.
