TCS, Spain’s RAI to create digital framework to transform education

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has entered into a partnership with the Royal Academy of Engineering of Spain (Real Academia de Ingeniería, RAI) to create a new innovative digital framework for offering online access to the latest learning support services and boosting collaboration between global educational professionals.

The Indian IT company will use its domain knowledge and expertise in digital transformation to create and implement the Forum for Digitalization in Higher Education’ (FDHE).

According to Tata Consultancy Services, FDHE is a framework that will allow Spanish as well as other international universities to digitize all touchpoints across the student’s journey. The digital framework will cover everything starting with the admission process to campus management and learning management, to assessment administration, exam administration and results management as well as communication with students.

The new FDHE framework will help optimize the operations of universities, provide more speed and clarity in the assessment process, and will enhance the experience of educators and students. It will also increase international student enrollment, and offer students with online access to the most recent digital learning tools, thereby helping Spanish engineering institutions to expand into international markets.

Furthermore, the framework will facilitate greater engagement between candidates, students, and alumni.

Additionally, Royal Academy of Engineering of Spain and Tata Consutancy Services will establish an executive governance board which will closely collaborate with representatives from the government as well as university professionals in Spain and around the world to develop an engaging learning experience for higher education teachers, leaders, as well as students.

The board will also collaborate with industry sponsors to encourage equality and inclusion across all schools, colleges, and universities.
