Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) said that it has enabled Neptune Energy, a UK-based oil and gas company, to become an insights-driven, cloud-first organization.

For this, the Indian IT services provider had built a cloud-native data and analytics platform, thereby helping Neptune Energy adopt automation to transform its IT operations and expedite its cloud transformation journey.

Tata Consultancy Services said that the oil and gas producer looked to tap its vast contextual knowledge, expertise in the oil and gas domain, and huge experience in bringing in digital transformations to achieve the objectives.

The Indian IT firm deployed its Machine First Delivery Model and know how in advanced technologies for standardizing and automating IT operations of Neptune Energy. This is said to have led to more user-centric and agile operations, lesser mean time to resolve, and improved operational resilience.

By using a source-independent ingestion framework, Tata Consultancy Services developed a strong, scalable, and secure cloud-native data and analytics platform for the oil and gas operations of the energy company.

The platform is said to provide data on demand and allows evidence-based decision making, across health, safety, and other functions to help Neptune Energy measure key performance indicators pertaining to workers’ safety as well as mitigate risks.

Apart from that, Tata Consultancy Services is helping the energy company speed up its adoption of cloud technologies under its Cloud First strategy, to further boost scalability and business agility.

Neptune Energy is said to have used cloud-native integration services of Tata Consultancy Services to facilitate seamless and reliable connectivity across services and applications in eight countries.

Tata Consultancy Services claimed that the cloud transformation journey is helping the European oil and gas company to bring out greater environmental benefits by achieving a reduction in carbon emissions and in backing its environmental, social, and governance strategy.
