Tata Power Renewable signs power agreement with Endurance Technologies
Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a prominent subsidiary of The Tata Power Company Limited, has inked a Power Delivery Agreement (PDA) with renowned auto component producer, Endurance Technologies Limited. This pivotal agreement, executed through a special purpose vehicle, TP Green Nature Limited, aims to establish a 12.5MW AC Captive Solar Plant at Aachegaon, Maharashtra.
Driving Sustainable Energy Adoption
Annually, this proposed plant will be capable of churning out a whopping 27.5 million units of electricity. Such substantial production is expected to significantly curtail the carbon footprint of Endurance Technologies. Estimates suggest a potential mitigation of around 9,125 metric tonnes of carbon emissions each year. Following the signing of the PDA, the plant’s realization is anticipated within a 12-month timeline.
Ashish Khanna, CEO, TPREL, reflecting on the collaboration stated, “Our association with Endurance Technologies Limited paves the way for a greener tomorrow. At TPREL, our mission revolves around empowering industries to embrace sustainable energy alternatives, thus catalyzing India’s energy transformation.”
History of Fruitful Collaborations
It’s worth noting that TPREL and Endurance Technologies Limited aren’t strangers to such impactful collaborations. Their prior venture in Akkalkot, Maharashtra, encompassing a 12.5 MW captive solar power plant, showcases an annual production potential of 18.7 million units.
Over the years, TPREL has carved a niche for itself, offering bespoke captive energy solutions to a diverse range of sectors. Their portfolio ranges across steel, auto components, realty, and more, ensuring reliable and eco-conscious energy deliverables.
Ramesh Gehaney, Director & COO, Endurance Technologies Limited, expressed, “Our allegiance with Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited symbolizes our pledge towards an eco-resilient future. This venture is not just about harnessing green energy but is a testament to our vision for sustainable growth and energy self-sufficiency.”
TPREL’s Expanding Renewable Portfolio
With the addition of this solar power plant, TPREL’s renewable energy arsenal is set to encompass a total capacity of 7,889 MW. This includes 3,701 MW of projects poised at different developmental phases. Presently, the operational capacity of the company is pegged at 4,188 MW, encompassing both solar and wind energy.
