Tata Motors, BMTC revolutionize Bengaluru’s public transport with Starbus EVs

India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, Tata Motors, has taken a significant step in transforming Bengaluru’s public transport system by delivering advanced Starbus Electric Vehicles (EVs) to the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC). This delivery is part of a larger order from TML Smart City Mobility Solutions Ltd., a Tata Motors subsidiary, to BMTC, encompassing the supply, operation, and maintenance of 921 state-of-the-art 12-meter low-floor electric buses over a 12-year period.

Integration of Starbus EV in Bengaluru’s Fleet

The Tata Starbus EV, known for its indigenous innovation, superior design, and best-in-class features, now joins BMTC’s fleet. These zero-emission electric buses align with the Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives, offering a sustainable and comfortable commuting experience in Bengaluru. Developed on next-gen architecture and powered by advanced battery systems, these buses are set to redefine intra-city travel in the city.
