Hut 8 sells Canadian managed cloud arm as shares jump 8.8%
Hut 8 has sold its traditional Canadian managed cloud-services business to Opti9 while retaining the underlying data centres, GPU operations and high-performance-computing assets. The disposal sharpens Hut 8's strategic shift toward AI infrastructure at a time when contracted AI capacity has become overwhelmingly larger than its legacy cloud business.
