Solstice to buy Element Solutions for $14.5bn as AI materials strategy faces investor test
Solstice Advanced Materials is using stock, cash and new debt to acquire Element Solutions, creating a larger supplier across semiconductor fabrication, advanced packaging, electronics and data center cooling. The deal offers substantial strategic reach, but Solstice’s sharp share-price decline has already reduced the value available to Element Solutions shareholders.
