First Solar Series 6 Plus

First Solar is inaugurating the first phase of its approximately $330 million South Carolina production facility, which completes manufacturing processes for Series 6 Plus solar modules. The Gaffney operation currently employs about 500 people, with nearly 700 positions expected by mid-2027 as First Solar expands its American industrial footprint and adjusts its global supply chain.
