Indonesia hit by second magnitude 6.4 quake as Flores death toll reaches 47 after massive 7.7 disaster
Indonesia has been struck by another powerful earthquake, this time a deep magnitude 6.4 event in North Sumatra, as the death toll from the magnitude 7.7 Flores disaster rises to 47. Rescue teams are still struggling to reach some communities, while BMKG has recorded 235 aftershocks and says seismic activity around Flores could take weeks to subside.
