Uptime Institute signs Indonesia data centre agreement as AI infrastructure capacity targets 1.3 GW
Uptime Institute and Indonesia's Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs have signed a letter of intent covering data centre governance, reliability, sustainability and workforce development. With national capacity estimated at 580 MW and a target of 1.3 GW by 2027–2028, the collaboration could inform future industry standards, although it does not introduce binding regulations or mandatory certification requirements.

Baker Hughes will deliver 17 deepwater subsea trees for the Eni-Petronas $11.8bn Kutei Northern Hub project offshore Indonesia, targeting first gas in 2028.
