Sony Interactive to acquire audio brand Audeze to amplify PlayStation audio experience
Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC (SIE) has announced a landmark acquisition of Audeze, an industry-leading audio technology brand specializing in high-end gaming headphones. The acquisition aims to strengthen Sony Interactive’s ongoing innovation in the PlayStation audio experience. While Audeze will continue to operate as an independent entity, it will now benefit from being part of the expansive PlayStation ecosystem.
Headquartered in Santa Ana, California, Audeze is renowned for its award-winning headphones designed for professional audio, audiophile, and gaming markets. Utilizing Audeze’s patented technologies and unique planar magnetic drivers, these headphones deliver an unparalleled sound experience. This acquisition serves to underscore Sony Interactive’s commitment to offering top-notch audio experiences to PlayStation gamers, building on existing technologies like the PlayStation 5’s Tempest 3D AudioTech and the Pulse 3D wireless headset.
