Semantix to acquire machine learning operations platform Elemeno

Latin American end-to-end data platform provider Semantix has agreed to acquire Elemeno, a cloud-managed, machine learning operations (MLOps) platform provider to increase its presence in the US.

The terms of the transaction were not divulged.

Founded in 2021 by Lucas Bonatto Miguel, Elemeno automates machine learning development to help enterprises resolve challenges through artificial intelligence.

The acquisition of the machine learning operations platform is expected to complement and improve Semantix’s proprietary platform, the Semantix Data Platform (SDP) and its MLOps suite.

Leonardo Santos — Semantix CEO, commenting on Semantix acquisition of Elemeno, said: “Semantix remains committed to growing our proprietary SaaS business and expanding our presence in the US.

“The acquisition of Elemeno is fully aligned with these goals, with products and technology that are highly complementary to Semantix’s Data Platform.”

The acquisition is said to include the merger of a Semantix subsidiary with Elemeno, with the surviving company becoming a subsidiary of the former.

Semantix and Elemeno will remain independent businesses till the completion of the transaction.

The close of this acquisition is subject to certain conditions precedent.

Founded in 2010 by Leonardo Santos and listed on Nasdaq, Semantix has over 300 customers with operations in nearly 15 countries around the world.
