Rattanindia Enterprises ropes in Peeyush Kumar to lead drone business

Rattanindia Enterprises has appointed Peeyush Kumar as the head of the company’s drone business, which will be carried out by a fully-owned subsidiary that will be incorporated shortly in India.

Peeyush Kumar was previously the CEO of Indian drones company Pixella and is said to have vast experience in drones, robotics, artificial intelligence (AI) and electronics.

Over the last 25 years, he had also worked at Panasonic, Samsung, TCL, Sony, HCL, and Phillips.

Peeyush Kumar said: “I am very excited to lead the drones business for RattanIndia. With our investments and deep commitment to the drones sector, I am sure the Company is well positioned to be a market leader in drones solutions in the country.

It can be recalled that Rattanindia Enterprises had made an undisclosed investment in US-based urban drone logistics platform Matternet in August, in a bid to foray into the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) industry.
