Post-rebellion, Vladimir Putin offers safe relocation to Wagner fighters

In the wake of a mercenary revolt, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed gratitude for the nation’s resilience and unity.

In a late-night televised address, he praised the citizens’ firm stance supporting the constitutional order and the ‘greatest consolidation’ of societal power seen across all levels of governance. Vladimir Putin’s address emphasized the ‘doomed-to-fail’ attempts to incite internal turmoil, attributing the survival of such pressures to the solidarity and patriotism of the Russian populace.

During his address, Vladimir Putin unreservedly condemned the revolt’s organizers for their criminal acts designed to weaken the country amid mounting external threats. He underscored that despite the intentions of these organizers, an armed rebellion was destined for suppression. The Russian President also highlighted the hefty price borne by the country, with brave soldiers losing their lives on the front lines in the face of unprecedented external pressures.

He contended that these external forces, including neo-Nazis in Kyiv and national traitors, desired a scenario of fratricide.

The President also extended his gratitude towards the Wagner mercenary fighters and their commanders who chose not to engage in bloodshed. Acknowledging their courage and dedication to their country, he affirmed that efforts had been made from the onset to avoid extensive bloodshed. He noted their commendable refusal to engage in fratricide and their decision to stand down.
