Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has awarded a three-year contract to Shelf Drilling for deploying its Ron Tappmeyer jack-up rig to execute offshore operations in India.
Presently, the Ron Tappmeyer rig is under contract with ONGC with a completion date fixed in the second quarter of 2022.
According to Shelf Drilling, the start-up of operations under the new contract is planned for the fourth quarter of next year.

Based in Dubai, Shelf Drilling is a shallow water offshore drilling contractor. The company has rig operations across the Middle East, India, Southeast Asia, the Mediterranean, and West Africa.
