NW Natural Water to acquire two water utilities in Southeast Texas

NW Natural Water Company, a fully-owned subsidiary of Northwest Natural Holding Company, has signed two separate deals to acquire utilities located in Southeast Texas in a bid to grow its presence in the region.

Subsidiaries of NW Natural Water have agreed to acquire assets of Water Necessities & Rural Water near Beaumont and Caney Creek Utilities in Montgomery.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Justin Palfreyman — NW Natural Water president said: “We’re excited to see NW Natural Water continue expanding, especially in Texas – one of the country’s fastest growing states.

“We look forward to welcoming these new customers and continuing to deliver clean, safe and reliable water and wastewater services.”

The acquisitions, which are subject to approval from the Public Utility Commission of Texas and other customary closing conditions, are expected to close this year.
